#30- Georgia: Way down yonder on the Chattahoochee

At the recommendation of a local fisherman, we hit some ponds in the area that afternoon. We easily caught a bunch of small largemouth bass, Georgia’s State Fish. That made 2 states knocked off in one day!

We headed for the evening to the house of my old youth pastor, Matt Anderson, who had moved down to Georgia.

It was great to see a friendly face again and eat way too much Mexican food, and we went down yonder to the Chattahoochee to look around. After once again loading up on way too much food at Cracker Barrel the next morning, we said goodbye to the East Coast and headed west into Alabama.

We were feeling a bit more optimistic about our winter fishing leg after a tough start in the Carolinas.
